This is why the Fairness Doctrine is inherently unfair. In the marketplace of ideas, liberalism doesn’t sell because many more Americans by their own admission lean to the right and identify more with conservative principles.

Air America was begun to compete with conservative talk radio. It never got close, which is why congressional Democrats wanted to bring back the Unfairness Doctrine.

What happened this week in Massachusetts — voters repulsed by liberalism — only further confirms this. So does cable TV data that give Fox News, especially its center-left opinion shows, higher viewership than CNN, MSNBC-DNC-CCCP and all other left-wing outlets combined.

All the more reason for congressional Democrats to push the Unfairness Doctrine to provide the “balance” to spoon-feed liberalism to the majority of Americans who find it so distasteful.
