Our Future in Afghanistan

A short essay from Jerry Pournelle (one of my favorite writers, and one of Reagan's SDI advisors) on what a commitment to Afghanistan really means.  He suggests we get the hell out, and pay the various local bosses to put down troublemakers - while we put down bosses who disappoint us in that endeavor. I know which way I'm leaning.
